Temperature dependent positron annihilation in one-dimensional weakly coupled one component plasma
2007
The density and temperature dependent static pair correlation function, g ± (r) of electrons around a finite mass positively charged impurity considered to be a positron has been calculated in one-dimensional weakly coupled classical and quantum plasmas. Static pair correlation functions at the site of positron, g ± (0) which are intimately related to positron annihilation rates, have been evaluated and are observed to be temperature dependent and vary differently for classical and quantum plasmas.
