Assessment of Clinical Symptoms and Muscle Strength after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with the Patellar Tendon.

1992
Five patients, more than 6 months after ACL reconstruction with a patellar tendon graft, were followed-up and assessed in regard to clinical symptoms, and quadriceps and hamstring strength. Improvement of abnormal anterior instability was seen in all patients on stress radiography, and four were able to participate in recreational sports with only rare symptoms. Quadriceps strength on isokinetic excercise at a speed of 60D/S, however, remained decreased to 53.9% of the contralateral limb.
