The invention discloses a distributed battery management system. The system consists of two subsystems which are a master control system and a battery monitoring system respectively. The master control system consists of a microprocessing module, a relay control and diagnosis module, a handshaking signal transceiver module, a controller area network (CAN) transceiver module, a nonvolatile memory module and a wireless communication module. The battery monitoring system comprises a battery pack and battery monitoring modules. The system can acquire the voltage status, temperature status and like of batteries by the battery monitoring modules on each battery and perform balancing control on the battery pack with great status differences to improve the consistency and safety of the whole battery system. A wireless communication function of the system effectively isolates physical connection between a high-voltage system and a low-voltage system and improves the reliability of the master control system at the same time. The status of the battery system can be accurately monitored, the performance of the battery system can be fully utilized and the safe and reliable running of the battery system can be ensured.
