Determination of the boundaries of the deformation region of thermoplasts in the inter-roll gap of rolling machines

Relationships convenient for practical use are derived for determination of the coordinate of the beginning of the deformation region of Newtonian and non-Newtonian (pseudoplastic) models of thermoplastic materials in the inter-roll gap of rolling equipment over a broad range of values of friction coefficienst. The formulas presented can be recommended for engineering analyses of rolling equipment used for the production and refinement of polymers and rubber mixtures.
