Advances in 5G Network

2019
5G (from "5th Generation") is the latest generation of cellular mobile communications. It succeeds the 4G (LTE-A, WiMax), 3G (UMTS, LTE) and 2G (GSM) systems. 5G performance targets high data rate, reduced latency, energy saving, cost reduction, higher system capacity, and massive device connectivity. The first phase of 5G specifications in Release-15 will be completed by April 2019 to accommodate the early commercial deployment. The second phase in Release-16 is due to be completed by April 2020 for submission to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as a candidate of IMT-2020 technology. In the present book, fifteen typical literatures about 5G network published on international authoritative journals were selected to introduce the worldwide newest progress, which contains reviews or original researches on network architecture, Internet/Intranet Services, Mobile and Portable Communications Systems, Data and Information Security, etc. We hope this book can demonstrate advances in 5G network as well as give references to the researchers, students and other related people.
