From dissimulation to self-creation - aspects of hypocrisy in Nietzsche

Is it possible to re-evaluate, beyond the moral point of view, the condition of hypocrisy in if self-formation or self-creation? This article deals with the matter of the sense and value of hypocrisy from Nietzsche’s thought, which means, in what way it is possible to thinks about a re-signification of the concept of hypocrisy considering nietzschean critique to the notion of truth. Based on this distinction, we intend to discuss the ideas of masks and appearances in nietzschean thinking. Our hypothesis is that, beyond the negative evaluation imposed by Christian moral, it’s possible to comprehend hypocrisy as game and handling of masks which at last lead to the ethic-esthetic nietzschean principle of self-creation as second nature .
