Modern technical documentation of castle architecture in the case of castle Lož
2012
The graduate thesis explores some aspects of modern technical documentation regarding the castle architecture by means of the 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry techniques. The paper includes the basic glossary of castle terminology, legislation in the field of castle conservation and protection, different types and designs of technical documentation, modern methodological procedures and measurement techniques. In terms of castle architecture, modern data acquisition techniques focus on the integrated application of 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry. Using the acquired data a photorealistic 3D model is usually created which is useful for the production of traditional technical documentation as well as modern 3D displays and analyses. A practical case study on the Lož castle shows several possibilities for displaying 3D data on 2D plans and modern ways of 3D documentation
