Hedgehog signaling inhibition blocks growth of resistant tumors through effects on tumor microenvironment.

Findings demonstrate a novel role for hedgehog signaling in osteoclast function and demonstrate that hedgehog inhibitors reduce tumor burden through direct effects on tumor cells, osteoclasts, and stromal cells within the tumor microenvironment.
