Z-DEPENDENCE OF THE DOUBLE CAPTURE IN Aq+(1s2) + He, H2 SYSTEMS (A=C,N,O,Ne) OBSERVED AT 10 qkeV FOR VARIOUS ANGLES. IDENTIFICATION OF 1s23l 3l' LINES : THEORY AND EXPERIMENT

The first accurate identification of 1s2 3l 3l' states populated by two-electron capture in collisions of He-like ions with helium and hydrogen is made, by comparing new theoretical data with electron spectra. General trends of the double capture are given when Z varies from 6 to 10. The angular dependence of the electron spectra is also shown.
