The present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin containing 30 mol% or more of 9,9-bis (4- (2-hydroxyethoxy) phenyl) repeating unit derived from fluorene, phenyl vinyl ether represented by the following formula (1) the content of a thermoplastic resin is 100ppm or less.
