Dielectric studies of hydrogen bonded binary liquid systems

2019
Dielectric studies of molecular interaction of binary liquid mixtures of Methyl acetate with o-xylene, p-xylene and m-xylene have been carried out at the temperature 303K. The dielectric constant, density, refractive index studies are measured at the same temperature. These measurements are used to calculate the dipole moment values by various methods like Huyskens method, Palit method, Modified Palit method, Palit and Baneerjee method, and Guggenheim method. These measurements are compared with theoretical values. The values of above-mentioned parameters are put emphasis on the intermolecular interactions between unlike molecules of acetate-xylene mixtures.
