CHOICE OF THE MAIN MOTOR AND THE POINT OF OPTIMISATION

A method for the choice of the main engine and it's point of optimization are described in this paper. The method consists of dynamic analysis and simulation of the ship engine operation. The best financial results, expressed by internal rate of return is the criteria chosen.
