Particular Aspects of Post-Accident Plant Decontamination

Both authors each spent six months on the site of GPU’s Three Mile Island Nuclear Generating Station, where a LOCA caused severe damage to the Unit 2 reactor on March 28, 1979. Working with the local NRC staff, they got insight in the decontamination works and the general evolution of the situation.
