AML-1 ETO as maxillonasal myeloid sarcoma in young pregnant female; a rare presentation

2020
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) presenting as myeloid sarcoma (MS) is a rare malignant entity. Sinuses are rare site of myeloid blast deposition, which can lead to pressure effect on surrounding structure leading to architectural effacement with variable clinical symptoms. It usually coincides with the disease onset or relapse. AML harboring AML1-ETO fusion gene is distinct biological subtype carrying good prognosis.
