SEMISYNTHETIC a-LACTAM ANTIBIOTICS. III

The synthesis of a series of 7-acylamido cephalosporins having a substituted furyl moietyin the side chain is described. These new cephalosporins were examined in vitro for antibacterialactivity and evaluated for resistance to inactivation by β-lactamases.
