Measurement accuracy study of operating wavelength and angle error of optical axis of MOCT

2011
The influence caused by the operating wavelength of light source and intersecting angle error of optical axis on measurement accuracy of magnetic optical current transformer (MOCT) are theoretically analyzed and simulated. The investigation results show that the Verdet constant will change because of the fluctuation of the operating wavelength of light source. And angle error of optical axis will lead to direct current and attenuation, which affect measurement accuracy of MOCT. Based on national standard of ECT, the scopes of the operating wavelength of light source and angle error of optical axis are obtained. The results might be useful for researchers and designers working in the MOCT field.
