Static gas conduction cooled slab geometry Nd:glass laser

We report on the first demonstration of a 10 Hz static gas cooled slab geometry Nd:glass laser. This cooling approach provides thermal control of the slab laser medium while eliminating mounting and optical problems associated with liquid cooling.
