Aiming to solve the problems of continuous attenuation of performance, increases of insulation resistance, an improved probability of poor contact and an increased breakdown risk in the process of using which are caused by that conductive adhesive layers are disposed between metal electrode plates and PTC ceramic plates in existing PCT heaters, the embodiments of the utility model provide a PTC heating assembly and an automobile defroster. The PTC heating assembly comprises a heating core, an insulating layer and a metal tube; the insulating layer wraps the heating core and then is disposed in the metal tube in a penetrating manner; the heating core comprises two metal electrode plates and a plurality of PTC ceramic plates disposed between the two metal electrode plates; and a plurality of limit grooves corresponding to the PTC ceramic plates are disposed on the two metal electrode plates, and the PTC ceramic plates are inserted into the limit grooves which are correspondingly arranged on the two metal electrode plates. According to the PTC heating assembly provided by the utility model, negative influences caused by the conductive adhesive layers are eliminated, and the heat conducting effect of the PTC heating assembly is improved; insulating and pressure-resistant properties of the PTC heating assembly are improved; the PTC heating assembly is safe; and cost is low.
