The Application of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Trilogy Principles in Building the Students Independence at Salam (Sanggar Anak Alam)

This study aims to describe the principles of implementation of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara (KHD) Trilogy in Sanggar Anak Alam (SALAM) Yogyakarta. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research is located in Nitiprayan Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. The methods used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. Data validation used is source triangulation, technique triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study stated that the learning method at SALAM was based on research that was planned and approved by students, parents and class facilitators at the beginning of the semester. This learning method implies that students 'understanding is built by students' experiences and observations of phenomena into their research. This learning method is in accordance with the KHD teaching concept of 3-Na ( niteni, niroke, nambahi ) The stages of the implementation of " niteni, niro k ke, nambahi ” have been planted since early childhood. Besides that, the " asah , asih , asuh " factor carried out by the facilitator and parents is very influential in student learning activities. So that the nature of "ngemong" and "tlaten" is always needed to guide and motivate students there. Familiarity and proximity of the facilitator in guiding students is a method of creating a fun education in accordance with the nature of the child (their interests and talents). In addition to the above methods, education at SALAM always synergizes Tri Pusat Pendidikan (Three Education Center), namely education in the family, at school and community.
