Current Distribution Analysis of Frequency Selective Surface Element

In this paper, the current distribution of Frequency selectively surface (FSS) element is analyzed by equivalent transmission line model. Potential and current on the line are governed by the transmission line equations which can be solved according to Kirchhoff's current law and the continuity condition for the potential. The proposed method can model any FSS composed of relative narrow strip. It can also be extended to magnetic current analysis of slot-based FSS by dual. The current distribution of a typical triangle ring FSS element is calculated.
