Estimation of thallium(III) alone and in mixture with thallium(I) titrimetrically

The reduction of thallium(III) with glyoxal is catalyzed by light especially in the presence of bromide ions. The reaction is also catalyzed at higher temperature. Based on this reaction, a convenient method is described for the estimation of thallium(III) alone and in mixtures with thallium(I).
