Symbol Timing of OFDM System based on Statistics

The principle of OFDM is to divide the channel into orthogonal sub channels,and transform the high speed signal into parallel low speed data streams,these streams are transmitted on flat-fading sub-channels without intersymbol interference.Therefore,OFDM has strong anti-multipath capability and high spectral efficiency.However,OFDM is extremely sensitive to the timing error for its orthogonal sub-carrier technology.This paper mainly studies the symbol timing algorithm of OFDM system,describes the simulation and improvement on the existing algorithm.And finally its functions are realized by hardware debugging.
