Cultural Difference and Shared Values

In the middle of a snowstorm, in March 2010, my husband and I left our home in South Korea and boarded a flight to Australia. The flight was delayed as snow had to be removed from the plane before it could take off, but eventually we landed in Sydney on a sunny autumn day. I had arrived to take up a new appointment as lecturer in Human Development and Education at the University of Sydney.
