Negative pressure sealed drainage system for deep cavity wound surgical treatment

2017
A negative pressure hermetic drainage system for deep cavity wound surgical treatment. The system comprises: a columnar porous foam drainage piece (1), a wave-form extendable and retractable sealing cover (2), a medical film (3), a drainage tube (4), a fluid storage container (7), and a negative pressure source (8). The columnar porous foam drainage piece (1) is a hydrophilic foam, and is enclosed within the wave-form extendable and retractable sealing cover (2). One end of the drainage tube (4) is inserted into an upper portion of the columnar porous foam drainage piece (1). A flap provided along a circumference of the bottom-most end of the wave-form extendable and retractable sealing cover (2) adheres, via the medical film (3), to skin surrounding a deep cavity wound. An upper end of the wave-form extendable and retractable sealing cover (2) is provided with a tube-shaped connection opening (2a) sealingly connected to the drainage tube (4). The drainage tube (4) communicates with a connection tube (6) via a straight-tube fitting (5) and is inserted into the fluid storage container (7). The fluid storage container (7) communicates with the negative pressure source (8) via a connection tube. The columnar porous foam drainage piece (1) has a cross-section area of 0.8-3 cm 2 , a length of 10-28 cm, and a pore diameter of 1-2 mm.
