Common mode disturbance reduction of PFC full bridge rectifiers

2000
Increasing switching frequency of power electronic converters increases the amount of common mode currents (CMC). This paper presents several techniques to reduce CMC levels created by single-phase full bridge PFC rectifiers. The study is based on high frequency models and understanding of phenomenon. Acting on control strategies and/or propagation paths, improvements are achieved without much additional components. Results are validated using practical experiments based on EMI standards.
