Application of 6% Ascorbic Acid WA in Watermelon and Melon

The different concentration of 6% ascorbic acid WA was sprayed to study the effect on yield of watermelon and melon in the greenhouse.The results show that the yield of watermelon and melon spraying 2～3 times on stems and leaves with 6% ascorbic acid WA at a dosage of 600~700 kg/hm2(concentration of 1∶1500~2500)increases by 10%~30%.The quality and harvest time of watermelon and melon treated with 6% ascorbic acid WA is better and 5~7d early compared with CK.Therefore,6% ascorbic acid WA should be applied in production of watermelon and melon on a large scale.
