Reforming of liquefied natural gas

PURPOSE: To reform a liquefied natural gas to produce highly pure hydrogen with a good efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A liquefied natural gas is evaporated and the principal component, methane, is reformed into hydrogen and carbon dioxide by treatment with steam. Then, hydrogen is separated and recovered from the reformed gas, and the reformed gas after the separation of hydrogen and a liquefied natural gas are subjected to indirect heat exchange to evaporate the liquefied natural gas, while the carbon dioxide in the reformed gas after the separation of hydrogen is liquefied and separated.
