Applying NIALM technology to predictive maintenance for industrial machines

The disadvantage of the predictive maintenance approach is to increase the investment in diagnostic system and staff training, and the saving potential may not be seen when the machines are working in their good condition. Moreover, a predictive maintenance system so far can monitor only one machine that puts this solution in only very important and sensitive machines. This paper proposes an innovation method for monitoring in real-time and predicting simultaneously the status of many industrial inductive machines. Moreover, this solution can also provide an energy efficiency service to improve performance of machine and to optimize the operation cost.
