Interpretation of High-Energy Electron-Spectroscopy in F-Systems Beyond the Atomic-Like Approach

Abstract The manifestations of the hybridization of f-states with band-states in electron spectroscopies are briefly discussed within the single-impurity model. Two extreme examples of Ce-systems are presented: CeN where the f-states form a narrow metallic band and CeCu 6 where the f-states show a heavy-fermion behaviour.
