Toxicity of some insecticides to the development stages of two cockroach species

Soil application of aldicarb at 1 kg a.i./ha effectively controlled Hoplolaimus indicus, Tylenchorhynchys brassicae, Tylenchus filiformis and Trichodorus mirzai infesting wheat, barley, linseed and tomato, while carbofuran, in a separate experiment, at the same dose, brought about similar results against these nematodes and Helicotylenchus indicus on the above crops and also on oats. Similarly deep ploughing (30 cm deep) suppressed nematode populations but it was less than that obtained by using nematicides (...)
