Breast cancer in vivo proton MR spectroscopy

Objective:To detect the changes of metabolite in the breast cancer by ~1H MRS and reflect its pathological changes in molecular level.Methods:30 patients who were suspicion of breast cancer were performed by ~1H MRS to compare with the values of choline(Cho), lactic acid(Lac) in the tumor and the normal tissue.Results:Lac of the normal group noticeably was increased in 1.32ppm,and Cho was decreased,the line between Cho and Lac crest peak trended to ascend; while Cho value was increased in 30 cases of disease side in 3.2ppm,the line between Cho and Lac crest peak trended to decreased.Statistical analysis showed there was significant difference between two groups,(P0.05).Conclusion:~1H MRS is an effective imaging examination for its sensitive detection of the change of biochemistry metabolism between the breast cancer and the opposite normal tissue.
