Optimal Daily Scheduling of the Electricity Production in Hungary

A model and an optimization procedure are presented, that gives the optimal daily scheduling of the electric power production in Hungary. The minimum cost solution satisfies both the technological restrictions of operating the power stations and that of the power transmitting lines.
