Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis

2021
Measurement procedures for the determination of limb volumes objectify the success of treatments. There are currently many noninvasive measuring methods for assessing the results of treatments for lymphedema. Bioelectrical impedance analysis permits the assessment of lymphedema by directly measuring lymph fluid changes through the rate at which an electrical current travel through the body, which can serve as an objective, reliable comparison between the changes in lymph volume before and after treatment.
