The Identification of Abnormal Haemoglobins in Bloodstains

The identification of abnormal haemoglobins in bloodstains is considered. An alkali degradation method for the identification of HbF in stains is described. Electrophoretic methods for other abnormal haemoglobins are discussed and a new method using Cellulose Acetate strips and discontinuous buffers is described.
