An Approach to the Ultra-short Baseline Acoustic Localization Using Non-typical Array

Based on the passive localization theory of ultra-short baseline for acoustic detection and localization,a practical non-typical array with four elements was proposed.Adopting the generalized cross-correlation time delay estimation algorithm,a hardware system for passive localization based on DSP was developed test indicate the validity of the algorithm.The locating error of the hardware system is 1° less.
