Trimethylsilyl ethers of isopropylidene derivatives of d-glucofuranose,, d-glucofuranuronic acid, and its lactone

We have synthesized and characterized the trimethylsilyl ethers of isopropylidene derivatives of D-glucofuranose, D-glucofuranuronic acid, and its lactone. We have reported the /sup 1/H, /sup 13/C, and /sup 29/Si spectra and data of the mass spectrometric analyses of the prepared compounds, and determined the characteristics of their fragmentation arising from the presence of isopropylidene groups in the molecules.
