Improved arrayed waveguide grating-based interrogation system for fiber bragg grating sensors

We propose and demonstrate a fiber laser system that is used to improve the measurement sensitivity and power efficiency in the context of mapping the wavelength encoded information of an array of FBG strain sensors to a power measurement.
