Farklı Zemin Tiplerinin Esmer Sığırlarda Bazı Davranış ve Temizlik Özellikleri Üzerine Etkileri/The Effects of Different Types Floor on Some Behavioural Traits and Hygiene of Brown Swiss Cows

Oz: Bu calismada, farkli zemin tiplerinin Esmer irki sut sigirlarinda davranis ozellikleri ve temizlik skorlari uzerine etkileri arastirilmistir. Denemenin hayvan materyali Ataturk Un-iversitesi Ziraat Fakultesi Arastirma ve Uygulama Ciftligi Sigircilik Şubesinde bulunan 33 bas sigir olusturmustur. Deneme beton, kaucuk ve matress olmak uzere 3 grup olustu-rulmustur. Deneme sonunda elde edilen verilere gore davranis ozellikleri bakimindan zemin gruplari arasindaki farklar yatma davranisi, ayakta durma davranisi ve ayakta ruminasyon davranisi cok onemli (P<0.01), yem yeme ve su icme davranislari onemli (P<0.05) ve yata-rak ruminasyon davranisi onemsiz bulunmustur. Temizlik skorlari bakimindan gruplar arasindaki farkliliklar cok onemli bulunmustur (P<0.01). Arastirma sonunda matress zemin tipinin kapali bagli ahirlarda barindirilan sagmal Esmer irki sigirlarinda kullanilmasi tavsiye edilmistir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Beton, Esmer Sigir, Kaucuk, Matress Abstract: The study was conducted to determine effects of different types floor on behavi-oural properties and cleaning situations of Brown Swiss cows. The experiment was carried out at the Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ataturk University by using 33 Brown Swiss cows. The cows were allocated to three groups called as concrete, rubber mat and mattress groups. The results have shown that behavioural traits in different types floor groups such as lying, standing, rumination at standing position behaviours were highly significant (P<0.01) among groups, the feeding and drinking behaviours were also signifi-cant (P<0.05), but, rumination behaviour at lying positions were not statistically significant. Hygiene scores of the different groups were highly significant (P<0.01). As a result of the study, it was concluded that mattress should be used in tied closed barn for lactating Brown Swiss cows.
