Safety and Efficacy of Surgeon-Controlled Mivacurium Administration During Elective Caesarean Section

1995
Significant differences between muscles in their response to non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking drugs have been frequently reported. In contrast to hand muscles, assessment of neuromuscular transmission in the abdominal muscles with the use of a force displacement transducer is not applicable. We have examined the safety and efficacy of mivacurium administration by the surgeon guided by the direct assessment of abdominal muscle tone during elective Caesarean section.
