Lattice-Matched GaSb SESAMs for Ultrafast Infrared Lasers

Lattice matched GaSb-based SESAM technology for mode-locking $1.34\ \mu m$ lasers is reported. Generating 5-ps pulses with 1.7 W peak power at 1 GHz repetition rate, this novel technology is shown to exhibit a number of advantages compared to traditional GaAs technology.
