From soy to egg: Solidarity in the poultry sector. Taking the next step towards social soy production

A Dutch feed manufacturer and a soy trader felt that soy imports from overseas can only be justified, if in addition to the organic standards, also social standards are met. Their idea was well received by other stakeholders in the egg production chain and resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding that states that 100% of the soy used in organic poultry feed should meet social criteria by the end of 2015.
