On Combining College English Speaking Contest with the English Listening and Speaking Class

In recent years,training of college students' English listening and speaking ability has been steadily stressed by the society,because this ability can embody language's role of communication most directly.College English speaking contests of different levels are being carried out prosperously.As a result,to combine college English speaking contest with the English listening and speaking class has both the realistic meaning and the research value.Through analyzing college students' participation in the English speaking contests,the article integrates it with the class practice,explores the combination,and it is expected to provide some reference for improving college students' listening and speaking ability.
