RATIONAL CHOICE THEORY, FUNKTIONALE DIFFERENZIERUNG UND THEOLOGISCHE ETHIK : Ein Annäherungsversuch
2005
In Sociology dominate two theories: system-theory and rational-choice-theory (rc-theory). In theological ethics and in Theology in general, however, only system-theory received much attention while rc-theory was scarcely noticed. In his article R.M Scheule tries to stimulate theologians interest in rc-theory. He stresses two aspects of rc-theory: first, the theory (as developed by Coleman and Esser) could offer an explanation of social macro-phenomena; second the theory allows to describe situations of decision-making and to develop procedures of how to come to a decision.
