Method for controlling an installation (2, 3) using a rotational speed sensor (13), comprising the following steps: - entering a first sensor signal (S1) with a first proof mass (11) of the sensor speed (13), - entering a second sensor signal (S2) by a second seismic mass (12) of the rotational speed sensor (13), - determining a magnitude of acceleration based on the first sensor signal (S1) and the second sensor signal (S2), and - the control device (2, 3) depending on the magnitude of the acceleration.
