“NO ELEGÍ LA ESPECIALIDAD”. INCIDENCIA DE LAS TRAYECTORIAS ESCOLARES EN EL INGRESO A LA UNIVERSIDAD

Resumen En el ingreso a la universidad se evidencian dificultades de diversa indole. La construccion de la categoria “estar perdido” me posibilito dar cuenta del modo en que numerosos estudiantes recorren este tramo inicial de los estudios universitarios, en relacion con: el espacio y el tiempo en la universidad, los requerimientos institucionales y el conocimiento. Resulta necesario indagar ?que incidencia tienen los pares, los docentes, la institucion, el conocimiento, las trayectorias escolares? Cada estudiante que ingresa a la universidad se “encuentra” con ella de modo singular; alli se ponen en juego su origen social, sus capitales sociales, economicos, culturales y, de modo especial, sus trayectorias educativas. Con el supuesto de que muchos jovenes no eligen durante su paso por la escuela, por la fuerte impronta del caracter obligatorio de la misma, analice relatos de jovenes, que cursan 6o ano en dos escuelas publicas, sobre su historia escolar. En este trabajo, desarrollado en el marco de una investigacion en curso (1), e inscripto en un programa de investigacion (2), presento los modos en que estos jovenes realizaron la eleccion de la especialidad. Finalmente abro interrogantes sobre la incidencia de estas “no elecciones” en la fragilidad e incertidumbre al elegir una carrera universitaria. The construction of the category “to be lost” made me possible to give account of the way in which a lot of students cross this initial section of the university studies, in relation with: the space and the time at university, the institutional requirements and the knowledge. Is necessary to investigate: What incidence has the pairs, the teachers, the institution, the knowledge, the school path? Each student who enters to the University, “is” with her in a singular way; there their social origin, its share capitals, economic, cultural and, of special way, their educative trajectories are put into play. In this work, developed within the framework of an investigation in course, and registered in a research program, I present the ways in which these young people realised the election of the specialty. Finally I open to questions on the incidence of these “nonelections” in the fragility and uncertainty when choosing a university race. Key words Enter university Elections Path
