Formation of synovial joints and articular cartilage

Synovial joint is an important part of human body, although the number is very small, but they all have unique biomechanical structure and function. In recent decades, synovial joint has been a hot topic in orthopedics research field, which is a reflection of their fundamental importance for organism function and quality of life. Regrettably, what continues to be poorly understood are the mechanisms by which synovial joints actually form in the developing embryo. This review focused on recent advances in understanding the mechanisms of synovial joint and articular cartilage formation. Key words: Joint; Cartilage; Musculoskeletal development
