Latest results on the development of the gaseous pixel chamber

1992
The Gaseous Pixel Chamber is a new device that has been developed within the LAA Project at CERN. The excellent properties of this device have been previously described[1]. We present here the latest tests and results from further development. As this device is still being actively developed, these results are by no means complete but are so encouraging that presentation is warranted. Included are various tests that we have made to extend the range of operational voltage and extend the range of gas mixtures. We also include the first results of a device built on a ceramic substrate. Finally we will discuss some ideas we have for further development and also where this device may be used within a detector built for the Eloisatron or similar hadron collider.
