Speciation study of trace elements by HPLC Part III. The effect of alcohols on the retention behaviour of Cr(III, VI)-APDC co-ordination complexes

Reported here is the effect of alcohol modifiers on the retention behaviour of Cr(III, VI)-APDC complexes on both of Shimadzu CLC-C8 and Shimadzu CLC-ODS columns. The results show that ln k' of the complexes depend mainly on the chromatographic column feature and the surface tension γ of the mobile phase, while the type of alcohols shows less contribution.
