New technological solutions and designs of the mechanical equipment of structures at the Rogun hydroelectric station

1. At present the designs of the mechanical equipment have been developed for all structures of the Rogun hydro development, which are calculated for manufacture at those same plants which were earlier commissioned to supply the equipment for the Nurek hydrostation. The total mass of the equipment and steel structural elements will be more than 50,000 tons. The calculated cost effectiveness of the developments being introduced will be at least 10 million rubles. 2. A highly technologically efficient design of a radial gate with sliding bearings made of wood-laminated plastic DSP-Bgt and hydraulically controlled seal with a polyethylene sealing element was developed as the service gates regulating discharges at heads up to 200 m. Vertical-lift sliding emergency — guard and guard gates on DSP-Bgt slides with hydraulicacting polyethylene seals were developed. 3. When designing high-head outlet works it is necessary to consider the possibility of using a set of equipment of the upstream guard gate with a shut-off device. 4. It is necessary to organize the collection and systematization of information about defects and deviations from the designs of high-head mechanical equipment revealed during assembly and operation, methods of eliminating them, and results of subsequent operation.
