e-VLBI related activities at Onsala Space Observatory
2009
Onsala Space Observatory has been actively involved in VLBI since the 1960s with tape-based observations, and helped to produce the first transatlantic VLBI fringes between Onsala and Westford, Massachusetts in 1968. Less than 40 years later, in March 2004, the first real-time transatlantic e-VLBI fringes were achieved, again between the same pair of antennas.
